I have a Windows 10 notebook and I have accidentally locked out the ability to make changes i.e. install and uninstall software, and get the sound back which has mysteriously disappeared, and which I cannot adjust or get back.
How do I get back control so I can make adjustments, install and uninstall software etc?

Why do you think you cannot make changes? Where do your attemps fail? Are you logged in with administrator rights?
.......Rollback to last Restore point (or earlier ones if necessary prior to the changes you have made)?
.............Re-install recent backup?0
