Are the builders still on site / contactable?Just moved into a new flat TR15 3FP I cant seem to get any quotes for anything, car insurance, broadband , energy...................is there anything to be done to help me and others in this block?
I would be escalating with them to ensure it has been registered correctly.
When I moved into a new build there were normally workarounds for all providers, however the automated systems would struggle...0 -
Yeah E30M3 is right in that it might not have been registered properly. It's usually down to the planning people at the council though and more often to do with boundaries and the like. I have come across this before and traced it to exactly that.
The online postcode finder has no problem in finding it though!0 -
Check on Royal Mail postcode finder online to see if your address shows there. If so, it is down to individual providers as to what system they use to update postcodes. Some will have 'live' updates so any changes show on their system within 24 hours, others may only update their address database monthly or quarterly.
I am assuming that you may be struggling with trying to get quotes online? If you phone the companies directly they will almost certainly be able to manually enter your address and quote that way.
If your address doesn't show on the Royal Mail address finder then contact your local council to ask them to register it with Royal Mail.0
