Hi... I have just seen that on my credit score that I have a missed payment on there from my utility. For the past 300 days almost I have been in a dispute with e-on as I requested to leave them to go somewhere else and I was having trouble doing so because the address of my home was not correct on some sort of file (the postal address had not been altered as it was a new build home) so as time pasted with them wasting time they opened a dispute and said that no money needed to be paid until this problem was sorted. Loads of things happened inbetween then and now but to cut a long story short they have now made it that I have now got a payment issue on my credit score and I asked them if they could remove it and they said no as bills were issued so it’s only correct. But my problem is that I was told by the company not to pay anything until all was sorted out. I feel as tho have really done me over here. Is there anything I can do?

You can make a written complaint that the account is currently disputed and that it was on hold while the investigation was ongoing. Are you sure the investigation has not been concluded?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

You still need to pay and anything you’ve overpaid or paid wrongly will be reimbursed.
Do you have that “advice” in writing?0 -
Its not on your credit score but your credit report. Lenders etc see yourreport.0

I don’t have it in writing unfortunately but it’s there policy that all bills owed are put on hold whilst in dispute. But one of there admin team that was dealing with me failed to put it back to a dispute properly back in November and that when the bills were issued and as there online bills I did not know about them until I received calls about the bill. So it was an error on there half. The person dealing with me now said to me it that they did not do it properly and said they would get in touch with there credit profile people (not sure the correct term) and they just said well a bill was sent out so it’s tough basically, so I’m being penalised for something that was not my fault. If they would have told me that the bill needs to be paid then then I would have done but they said payments can’t be made until issue was dealt with as the dispute would be classed !!! closed.0
