Even if those tests were a good indicator of tyre performance there is one big thing missing which is dry grip!.
If you look at independent tyre reviews/tests online there can be a big difference in dry grip and the same ratings certainly don't mean they will perform the same.0 -
Many years ago I purchased a brand new front wheel drive car, it came with a full size spare. When the time came to change the front tyres I decided that there was no point having a brand new tyre in the boot so I bought one tyre exactly the same as the ones from the factory and fitted the spare, the best of the 2 worn ones going in the boot. I noticed that the car pulled left. Went back to the tyre place and everything seemed ok but he swapped left to right. Car pulled right. Checked tyre markings and everything was the same except, obviously, manufacture date and country of origin. Put them on the back and problem went away. So even with the same brand and design of tyre there can be different handling characteristics between manufacture dates and factories.0
