Wait until you get a log splitter. Endless fun to be had trying to get gnarly logs to split cleanly and without flying through a window.


Tip - Most logs split easier when wet. Stuff like Eucalyptus is reportedly impossible to split once seasoned (will see if that is true in a year or so).

Pallets are a right pain in the a**e to dismantle.
If you like the pallet look, why not buy loose pallet planks off eBay... not expensive.... then fix vertically with gaps to a top & bottom rail, say 3x2 treated timber. Add lean to metal roof as others have said.
