NPower Bill Issues
Has anyone ever had any issues with NPower converting their readings from cubic feet to cubic metres when in actual fact the readings are already given in cubic metres?
We're 2 adults in a 3 bed semi bungalow and our latest bill shows we're £280 in debt in 2 months! However we weren't even in the house for a month of that and have a Hive for holiday mode etc.
It seems NPower have been thinking we're supplying our readings in feet rather than metres and although I tried to query this with customer services last night they couldn't understand - they've even had a meter reading taken by one of their reps who obv didn't realise it was wrong!
Just wondered if anyone else had had this issue......hoping we can get it resolved ASAP. Seem to recall issues with NPower a few years ago......maybe should've went elsewhere......

An imperial gas meter has 4 digits, whilst a metric meter has 5 digits (ingoring in both cases any digits after the decimal point)
As the supplier believes you have an imperial meter, are you sure you are giving 5 digit meter readings, including leading zeros if necessary.0 -
Seems that grudz1980 is on the ball, but just in case
Meters are marked either ft3 for Imperial that gives appx 31.5 Kwh per meter unit, or m3 for Metric which delivers appx 11.2 Kwh
Quick check on the billing method is to divide the meter used used by the Kwh charged.
Certainly take up the offer from n'powers rep Vicky if the maths check spells 'Error', but also send a letter headed Complaint by Royal Mail0 -
I haven't really looked at my first bill for the last quarter for gas and electric - I just paid out the £850 they asked for...maybe I should look more closer at it.0

Thats over £3000 a year and you just pay it. !
You say its your first bill .. Are the opening readings as per the ones you gave to your supplier; are the last readings estimated or actual; are you on a fix tariff ?Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
