Lowell are about to make an entry on my clearscore account

Hi, I owe lowell about £70, I have always ignored it as three mobile and orange tried to charge me after I closed my accounts with them around four years ago.

Clearscore say the report will be from a communications company and will be entered on my next updated report in a couple of days.
Obviously I think this will effect my score, but more importantly, will it effect my current credit limits on the credit cards I use?

  • Lenders may take your wider history into consideration when reviewing your account with them, so it's possible.

Don't worry about the score - just how your accounts appear on your files.
  • Thank you for that.
How often do they review my accounts please?

Previously I missed a payment of three pence with one card and all my other cards slashed my limit to about ten quid more than I had in outstanding balances.

Is there anything I can do to stop this please?
  • They'll review them as and when they choose to - it varies by lender.

You can't stop lender reviewing your credit files unless you close the accounts. All you can do is manage your accounts well going forward.
  • If you owe the money you need to pay it

If you don't, then you need to contest it for removal from your files.

    So do you owe it?
  • Thanks again.
I have managed all my current credit cards very well,, normally paying off the balance in full every month and have had many credit limit raises.

I'm just worried that what happened previously when I missed a payment of three pence to rbs credit card will happen again?

I possibly owe part of it but not the full amount.
If I call them now and pay it would they remove whatever they are about to put on my file please?
  • No it won't be removed.

It will be marked as either satisfied if paid in full or partially satisfied if you come to an arrangement to pay off a smaller amount to clear it.

So basically my credit limit will be slashed and my rating devastated?
I just looked at another part of this site and discovered they should have advised me of what they are uploading to my account, I've had no notice of this by mail.
  • They don't need to advise you no.

Your existing credit limits won't be slashed and you don't have a credit score or rating
