Savings account needed for next year...

Hi All
Come the new year I'll be looking to open a savings account. I'm after one which obviously pays a good rate of interest and has online management. I won't need to get at it instantly so it could be a notice account. I've not got an ISA account yet so maybe this would be in the running. I'd probably end up saving £500 a month or so?? Does anything jump out ??
cheers :j

Assuming you are a taxpayer, a cash ISA is a good idea.

The National Savings Direct ISA is often recommended and pays 6.3%. You can put £3000 in it this tax year (upto 5th April 2008) and £3,600 the next tax year (assuming its still a best buy!)

Otherwise ICICI pay 6.41% on their internet savings account.

    Regards
    Sunil
