Make CHAPS payments online.

It seems that most personal current accounts require CHAPS payments to be set up by phone, or at a branch.

Which banks' personal current accounts allow CHAPS payments to be made online without requiring any telephone contact?

Yes, of course, but it isn't always entirely clear what is possible.

I signed up for a new bank which appeared to suit, only to find that online CHAPS is not possible.

Metro, TSB, Monzo, First Direct.

I believe HSBC. Was trying to transfer a larger amount than BACs/FP daily limit would allow so had the option to use CHAPs but didn't because I am a good MSEer

Honestly? If self-service CHAPS is so important to you, why didn't you google before you signed up? And/or check with the bank? If you can't speak on the phone with a bank, you can try their chat or their Twitter.

A faster payment is similar to CHAPS but you will have a daily restriction on how much you can send.
If I'm honest how many times a year do you need to send more than say £25k per time?

Barclays do- I did a CHAPS payment online to pay off OH’s mortgage from his Barclays account.
