Hi everyone,
I’ve worked at my company for 7 years but been in this role for 1. There were 22 of us but 3 left for various reasons just before Christmas and weren’t replaced.
The remaining 19 were called to a meeting last week and told our jobs will be no longer. We all do slightly different variations of the same job (slightly different titles also). There’s a restructure and as part of this, 4 jobs will be lost. There’s 11 of one type of job which is essentially the job I’m doing now but with a different title and a few added responsibilities.
I have a meeting with my manager tomorrow to ask any questions. In all honesty I don’t really have any and I don’t really understand how this process works. The ideal for me is to keep my job so I don’t want to start asking about VR etc.
Does anyone have any experience they could share with me or advice on where I stand and some useful questions to ask?

I'd be asking why there is a need for redundancies and how they propose to select candidates for redundancy. Will they be producing job descriptions for the new roles? Will you have to apply? That sort of thing.
I'd probably take the opportunity to state how committed you are to the organisation and that you're keen to stay.
