Ppi

I had put in a claim for PPI on a loan which I had from Halifax, I was told I was only entitled to half as this as it was a joint loan with my ex partner, he defaulted on his part and I had to pay the majority of the loan off on my own , is there anything that I can do as I feel I'm entitled to most of the PPI if not all, I have proof I paid a lump sum on my own
