hi All

I parked my car at 0650 on a pay and display bay, no suspensions were obvious or on the pole. I park there every day to go to the gym so it would be obvious. I return at 8am and have a PCN pasted on 0736. There was now a suspension notice on the pole- 24 hours on the date I parked. I am 100% sure it wasn't there when I parked.

Anyway, I appealed and asked them to check when that suspension was put up, they replied and I have attached the letter. They state it was put up 3 days earlier but they didn't show me evidence to prove that it was put up 3 days earlier.

Any grounds to carry on or should I just pay up?

Most suspended bay PCNs from Councils can be won, in fact I am half way through the process for a family member who got one the same week you did (different Borough).

Can you go on foot and ask the shops there if it's true the signs were up days before the suspension? If so, you might learn something useful (e.g. what if one of them has CCTV showing them being put up, but not on the day they say?!). You never know.

And the sign looks questionable to me...they've suspended pay & display bays but not sure that sign is as it should be. Hard to tell and I'm no expert on them.

NO HOTMAIL EMAILS allowed there, and you MUST also post to show them both sides of the PCN itself (front & back) just covering your VRN. Not just a pic of the signs.

Let us know when you win, as I will when I win the one for my relative!

I would never pay a Council PCN unless I couldn't see any scope, and there always is.
