Eon v7 Tariff

Been looking for a decent switch from Avro which was quite cheap, didn’t find anything that really stood out, then when I try an up to date comparison today, it comes up with eon v7 fixed 12 months which is by far the best I’ve seen.
Anyone else switched to this ?

I have been with E.ON for the last 15 months and when I renewed in September 2018 the tariff I renewed with was only available through comparison sites for 2 weeks. So having a good deal suddenly appear isn't surprising. However the 2 tariffs listed on their website with v7 in their name both closed on 09 January, so I would check the terms and conditions carefully before proceeding.0

It was from a comparison site I saw it, but it also comes up on their official website as being available. Looking at their tariffs, there’s only one v7, the fix online v7. No mention of end dates. Only thing is I’ll have to have a smart meter put in, which is no big deal0 -
For my region (Southern) a price comparison wouldn't put the Fix online v7 anywhere close to the best offers.0

Hello hammersfaniow and you're right. This will be our Fix Online v7 tariff.
We released this last Friday, 25 January 19. Not been advised of an end date yet. As PeterGr says, we can remove tariffs quickly.

My fixed rate has just ended.
Do Eon have any deals on switch sites other than available on their website?0 -

Thank you for replying. I have applied to switch today, it says that it can take a week to be accepted for the switch, I’m assuming that if the tariff disappears in that time, I’ll still get the tariff I applied for ?
Thanks0 -

Really ??
What sort of tariffs would you be able to get that could beat that then ?
The v7 has
Gas. St. Charge 8.4p Unit rate 3.6p
Electric. St. Charge 7.8p Unit rate 16.9p0 -
If I use a comparison site I get 70 fixed tariffs listed before the v7.
That's because the rates I see are Gas, SC = 24.854. rate = 3.854, and Elec SC = 20.055, rate = 16.548.
The SC that you list are about one third, so if you have a significant gas consumption then you will see a more favourable outcome. Good luck0 -

Ah ok. I thought it would come up first as it’s overall cheaper, the rates you’ve quoted there are quite expensive. Good luck too0 -

Morning POPPYOSCAR and no, for existing customers, we don't currently have any tariffs available only through Price Comparison sites. All the options we've currently available are listed on our website.
It's a bit different for new customers looking to join us. Fix Online version 7 is only being offered to these potential customers through Price Comparison sites.
Hope this explains POPPYOSCAR.
