Holiday scams UK - PLEASE POST AS A WARNING

I am posting here as a way to alert people to potential scams in holiday home hire (Caravans/Cottages etc)
I am a member of a Holiday scam group on Facebook - the aim of FB Holiday scams is to alert people of possible fraudulent ads where genuine owners photographs are stolen and used advertise holidays with aim of scamming money out of innocent victims with no intention of providing a holiday.
Genuine owners can be verified on their sister site by providing proof of owner account and home address (only administrators see this), their owner status can then be confirmed to potential hirers.
Common tricks are to get you to pay through Paypal without an invoice detailing reason for payment for payment or by Bank Transfer where you have no comeback because you have sent money voluntarily.
I have had messages from several people this week where they have lost money one woman has several young children who will now may not have a holiday.
The key advice is if it seems very cheap for particular weeks (check average prices on UKcaravans4hire) or they include entertainment passes (most owners don't) then be wary of parting with your money.
