We clip all 3 of our cat's claws (2 person effort) with standard nail clippers. Make sure you avoid where the blood vessels are (where there is pink on the nail) and just cut the clear part of the nail.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Genuine question.....why cut cats nails? We always had cats growing up and I’ve always had them as an adult and never heard of clipping their claws.

Leave a tin of salmon[1] outside the back door and a cat will turn up pretty quickly and adopt you.

As cats age their claws thicken and they can no longer use scratching to remove the sheath. If I didn't have my (nearly 18 year-old) cat's claws clipped they would eventually grow into his pads.0
