Next base Duo dash cam

I have a Next Base Duo dash cam.

I am attempting to hard wire it into my car using the hard wire kit.

However, the dash cam uses a micro HDMI cable to power it. But, the Next Base hard wire kit only has a Mini USB cable - which I believe is used to power almost every other Next Base Dash Cam.

Apparently there should be a converter cable in my dash cam box... but it isn't there. I have no idea what I've done with it.

Does ANYONE have a Next Base Duo dash cam, and is not using the additional little converter cable that came with it!?!?!? It's a small small cable.

Alternatively, does anyone know where I can buy a Mini USB female to Micro HDMI male cable / adapter? It's proving quite difficult to find one!

Return the item and order the correct one or get them to send you the correct one?

It’s not that simple. I have the correct hardwiring kit.

All next bases dash cams seem to have a USB insert to power it. Whereas the duo is HD so has a HDMI to power it. With the duo, you get a converter cable, but I’ve lost mine. I can’t seem to purchase this cable anywhere. Neither can I buy a simple mini USB to micro HDMI adapter anywhere online.

I can only suggest you call the helpline, ( assuming there is one) , and ask them to send/sell you another cable..

I had a USB charger for the dash cam, so I bought USB to Mini USB adapter and that has done the trick!

I'm glad you have it resolved, the solution appears to be simply an old mobile phone (none apple) charger lead?
And differs from the hdmi lead you opened the query with.

It's a HD dash cam. It comes with a cigarette socket charger, or a USB charger to charge via laptops etc. The part that plugs into the actual dash camera is Micro HDMI.

The hardwire kit has Mini USB at the end, which doesn't fit into the Duo dash cam, because it's Micro HDMI.

So I bought a female Mini USB to female USB adapter so that I can use it to connect the hard wire kit with the charger cable.

Im still at a loss how you have connected it to the micro HDMI but no matter. if it works it works

try amazon or eBay i'd be really surprised if you cnt find anything there. alternatively, check aliexpress (wait will be long though)
