I thought I'd come up with a good idea to make some extra money from home - audio typing. The company I'm interested in use hotkeys which is really alien to me, I used to work in London with an audio tape machine and foot pedals. The company kindly suggested I use some free software called Pedable so I could make my foot pedals mimic the hotkeys. However, when I plug in my pedals, they are not listed under the options as if they're not recognised or not suitable to use - unfortunately I'm not techie enough to know!
Can anyone suggest any other software for me to try? I'm trying to work out if its a problem with the software compatibility or a problem with the pedals.
Many thanks.

Is this company the one that you are working for now, the company you used to work for, or the company who makes the software/hardware?0 -
So you're plugging the pedals from your old audiotyping machine into the computer?0

The company who recommended the software is one I'm interested in working for. They don't make the software. I've looked at reviews I can find online and made sure they're not one of those companies who want any money to work for them.
I tried doing their audio typing test but am not used to using hotkeys so I bought a set of foot pedals off eBay with a usb connection. Am now trying to find simple software to enable me to get the pedals to replicate the hotkeys.0 -
Pedals I have bought are Olympus RS26. Software I have tried as suggested from potential company to work for is Pedable.
Have done some googling - it would appear Pedable doesn't work on Windows 10. Found some Olympus software but my pedals are too old, works on model RS28.
Tearing my hair out here - looks like I've got to start over!0 -

"I was able to get Pedable to work on windows 10. First you have to run the install in compatibility mode for windows 7. Then once done installing you have to run the program in compatibility mode for windows 7. This works as of today. May not work tomorrow."
