apple - I agree about the rugby legs. Also Ben Fogle's legs which I was admiring the other day when he was in the Amazon in shorts.
misstara - same here with the news, I have very robust mental health but if I watched the news everyday I don't think I would be able to get out of bed.
ccl - I find reading very theraputic, losing myself in some good fiction (it has to be fiction) is very relaxing and at times when I really need to relax I revert to my old favourites.
f0xh0les - are you enjoying the Redbush tea?
There has been a lot of shouting in the dolly household courtesy of DD, it has now extended to me and DH, DD is a very difficult child, I believe she may be somewhere on the autism spectrum, was shocking last night and has had her phone and laptop confiscated, she is trying everything to get them back ranging from telling us her behaviour was an accident to tears then reverting back to screaming abuse at me.
Have cycled this morning, made curry for tea today and lunch at work on Tuesday, made chana masala for tea on Tuesday, quiche for DH for lunch tomorrow and Tuesday, crumble for pudding today. Walked the dog in the woods, called at Sainsburys to take advantage of a MOC to get things I would have got from Tesco on Thursday, re-organised some of my food overflow storage. Had an item finish on ebay this afternoon with one bid, £45 and a very big item out of the way, hoping they don't pay by paypal like so many buyers do despite me putting it very clearly on the listing that it is cash.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I was going to have a spend day today and get all sorts of bits for lunches this week but I decided I'm going to utilise what I already have in the kitchen and lunch tomorrow is just a simple cheese and pickle sandwich, banana and go ahead bar. Tomorrow's breakfast will be porridge and honey.[STRIKE]£799 - FD Personal Loan[/STRIKE][STRIKE]£500/ £500 FD Overdraft[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£5700/£5700 MBNA credit card[/STRIKE]:beer:0 -
Some things that I do are headspace, walking, a workout, a hot bath followed by a hm oil + salt scrub rinsed off in the shower, snuggling under a blanket with a good book, keeping away from the news, drinking lots of water, keeping off added sugar, eating lots of green veggies, trying to keep ontop of paperwork.
F0xh0les - I thoguht you actually caught the squirrels and was waiting to find out how you dealt with the bitey-scratchy side of them!
Today I am grateful for fun at kids klub, for dd playing out in the garden, for catching up with a friend, for a call from my sis, for my knitting, for getting some marking done, for getting 2 loads of laundry done.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hello lovely Turtles,
Foxholes
I will certainly be trying that!! My kids will love it if it works!!
Not had the best of days, my kids (2&4) got into their play sand while I was getting dressed & basically spread it as far as the eye could see. Que me screaming at them & feeling guilty all day about it. anyway as a result I've decided I'm getting too overwhelmed by everything & I need to learn to chill out.lm on my own a lot with no family & I work full time, I need to give myself a break & find more time to relax. Although I've no idea how.
The afternoon was a bit better as we baked cookies & watched honey I shrunk the kids. Nothing spent so on NSD 3 of 18.
Greatful for- the smell of hotel shampoo reminding me of our holiday, my youngest going to sleep well & for cups of tea & Mondays bringing a chance for a better week!0 -

Quite a nice day today. OH and DS2 went off to a local shooting range this morning (DS2 does shooting at school, as they have a range there) whilst DS3 and I finished his homework, made a loaf of bread and roasted tomatoes & garlic for soup. My mum visited with paperwork for my Nan's court of Protection Order (dementia advanced rapidly and LPA wasn't set up before capacity diminished) - so that's a job for me this week... A quick trip to Tesco for a handful of items (although I may have been tempted by the 3 for 2 offer on Met0d cleaning stuff (the rhubarb smells nice and is a very pretty pink!):o:p) Then after lunch we played games (with snacks - yum) and then DS3 and I started to create a rainforest from a shoebox and other bits and pieces (not my idea of fun!!)
F Food Expenditure.
Downshifting etc. I know the Meth0d stuff isn't budget brand, but I did get £10 worth for £6 - I'd never buy it without an offer! The rest of the shopping was Tesc0 own brand stuff (no finest, just normal stuff or the cheapy one they now do instead of Value)
E Excursions and entertainment should be planned Half term - possible trip to see student children. Also have a night at a friend's house for dinner and games - will take alcohol from stash, so no cost.
