no electricity bill received after 5 months

Hi all

I have moved into my flat (renting) for about 4-5 months and have not received an electricity bill yet. I took the meter reading when I moved in and was hoping to use uSwitch to swap suppliers. I called my regional electricity network (northern power grid) and they have provided me a company with no contact number and I don't know whether uSwitch can even contact this company. The management of my flat also does not know who is my supplier. I googled this company and cannot find anything, even emailing any companies that sounded similar.

I'm not sure what to do and I'm fearing a big bill that will come at the end of the year.

If you don't give us a clue then you'll need to wait until our crystal balls warm up.

Are your energy bills included in your rent ?

Do have gas as well as electricity ? Can you trace the gas supplier ?

Have you asked the letting agent for contact details of the landlord ? Have you contacted them ?

Who is this mysterious supplier ?

    Morning fondsauce

Have you been reading your meter since you moved in ? Hopefully you can do some simple sums using about 15p a kwh and 25p a day plus VAT and saving this for when you get a bill.

Who is this supplier that you can't find on Google ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
  • Many thanks for the replies.

I'm renting, bills are separate from rent, no gas. The supplier is called EDDI with no contact number. I have contacted the lettings agent and they do not know who the electricity supplier is either. I have clicked that uswitch last time and I only managed to find out the supplier is called EDDI but with no contact number.
  • Here is OFGEM's list of all licensed electricity suppliers.

Yours should be in there. There's one called Eddington Energy?

Looks as though Eddington Energy took over as Supplier of Last Resort when OneSelect Ltd. licence was revoked.

    There's a brief <report from Elexon>.

Not a lot to go on but somewhere to start.

    Edit
Try <Together Energy>. The download available on the above link confirms that Together Energy is a trading name for Eddington.

If you have been in your flat for five months and have not heard from them, it is possible they don't even know you are living there and believe the property to be empty.

Did you take meter readings when you first moved in ? Meter snapshots at this point may help but you could end up paying for usage since the last known tenant.
