Hi peoples,
It might be a stupid question here but i've got a default on my credit report that will be 6 years old in May this year. It's not settled.
As it's on a bank account that still seems to be open in my credit report, although I haven;t used it for years and I think the debt was passed onto a debt collecting agency.
I'm just wondering will the default still come off even though my account is still on there showing payment history?
Cheers,
Daryl

Yes it will still come off your report after 6 years.
Have you been making payment towards the debt?0 -
No paying off, I got very lax when I was a student with these and was out of work for 1 year after uni so couldn't pay. When I could, I couldn't find who the collection agency was and the bank was no help saying I should just wait for them to contact me.0

So are you paying it off or not?
If you’re not, then it will become unenforceable after the 6 years providing NO payments have been made in that timeframe.
If you have been paying it off, it will still be removed but you most continue payments as it will still be enforceable0
