Ok wondering if anyone can help with a problem that has just occurred.
I was, less than 20 minutes, happily surfing the web via my wireless connection. Then I got disconnected for no apparent reason. My router is showing as working but the laptop is not picking it up wirelessly but still finds someone elses connection (secure) up the road.
I am using the internet now via the router but with the yellow cable (I;m so technicall!) plugged in.
Anyone got any ideas why I can't use it wirelessly anymore and how to fix it?

Many thanks
Lisa

Try this, assuming that you are using XP
Go to Start | Run type in cmd
at the prompt, type in ipconfig /renew
press enter0 -
This happens to me quite often. I can't load certain pages that I've visited quite frequently.
What works for me is restarting the router via the main page on your pc.
Hope this helps you out

Have you tried rebooting your router? If that doesn't work try changing the wireless channel in the router settings."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Thanks for the advice guys. Am up and running wirelessly again. I got frustrated and reset the router and set it all up again. I know there's probably an easier way but I'm sorted now.

What encryption did you set up? Perhaps someone else is using your connection! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
