Hundreds of spam mail in Outlook.

Yesterday my Outlook account started receiving junk mail. I blocked the emails and set up Outlook to put only mail from safe senders in my inbox. In 20 hours I have 929 junk emails which I will block but I am concerned I might receive emails from people/organisations I have not been in contact with before and these may go in to the junk folder.

How do I go back to the way it was before yesterday when Outlook must have automatically blocked messages before they where received? I have not used my email address anyway other than previous places I have signed in to and not adjusted any settings in Outlook.
