How long do trading standards take to reply?

1) He's wondering how many other people have been fleeced - considerate and responsible;
2) He had to waste his time and effort to chase it;
3) He reported the problem to Trading Standards and hasn't had a reply, so not unreasonably he has asked the question on here for help;
4) Just because you get your money back, it doesn't make it okay, how about a goodwill gesture, an apology, letting others know about the cowboys out there.
Well done to him, I say.
It’s got nothing to do with him how many others have been fleeced. He’s not spoken to Trading Standards so why are the obliged to update him, he’s suffered to loss.
As for good will is anyone legally obliged to provide it?0 -

I'm certain my post suggested an alternative to Trading Standards, if the OP has compelling evidence of wrong-doing.
However, I suspect he or she doesn't have such evidence.
Evidence? I just stated in my first post that the tracking number was not my signature and was not my delivery office. The company gave me another customers tracking number and when I queried this, I was told to take it up with the courier. When I checked with Royal mail, indeed it was not my address on file for that tracking number. Went back to the retailer, they then told me to check with neighbours! I asked for "replacement" goods, they refused. Asked for a refund, they refused. Its only when I went back again and mentioned Trading Standards that I received my refund, back and forth about 6 times just to get a refund? Sorry but these business practices just aren't on and they should not be operating with this attitude.
As for Action fraud, what are they going to do? The company will just state the tracking numbers got mixed up on file somehow.0 -

I'm all for punishing lousy companies who flaunt our statutory rights, but I'm sorry, reading your posts, it really does sound like that is the most likely explanation?
Where is the actual proof they deliberately gave you the wrong number and not another customers by mistake?
I will add you are right, it shouldn't need such an effort for them to refund or replace.0 -
Exactly the same as Trading Standards have done I expect.As for Action fraud, what are they going to do?
Whatever the company state (if they even have to), you won't be made privy to this information.The company will just state the tracking numbers got mixed up on file somehow.
I suspect you'd have received your refund on the final occasion regardless of mentioning Trading Standards.Its only when I went back again and mentioned Trading Standards that I received my refund, back and forth about 6 times just to get a refund?
Well you've already done your bit to advance this, but can I just repeat my earlier suggestion that you now simply put this behind you? If you continue to have an axe to grind against this retailer, simply don't shop there!they should not be operating0
