House insurance - legal cover

Heads up to read your insurance policies.

This one
Property Infringement: To pursue legal action against other parties for causing nuisance or for trespassing in relation to your main home
and this one
Data Protection: To pursue a legal action against a person or organisation for breach of the Data Protection Act 1998 which has resulted in a financial loss.

may come in useful but it will depend on your underwriter (and the facts of your case). Have a £25 excess for £50K cover - which should be enough.

Note the bit in bold. You couldn't use this cover to claim a "punitive" £500, or whatever purely for the DPA breach. It's only to cover actual losses.
