    Morning campers !
Extremely windy here and I've already had to rescue the plastic recycling from being strewn all over the back garden. The box is now netted so it will not escape again!
Dad decided against coming over for lunch, but as I'd already taken a pork loin out of the freezer we will have that with chips instead.
Nelski Mr Fix It's a man, so he will milk this cold for as long as he can get away with it, unfortunately the DGC are arriving about 3pm, so he will have to pull his socks up :rotfl:. They are having a sleepover here as their school is closed tomorrow for a training day. I may be MIA tomorrow as I will be busy crafting and playing :D. Tomorrow I am going to get the DGC to make a pizza from scratch as DD would like DGS to be able to cook and DGD needs to just eat more ( she's a "picker" with her food, so perhaps she will eat more if she chooses the toppings herself  ).
I have put the hoover on downstairs but only gave it a quick go, pointless with the DGC coming and there is a load in the WM too. Just as I thought I'd emptied the basket, Mr Fix It decides to shower and fill it up again :(. I have also emptied the DW.
Blimey there's an ice cream van stopped on our road, I heard it's steel drum music jingle yesterday, but I thought I'd been hearing things. It's think it's far too cold and early for an ice cream van

Just has a call from DD and it seems DGD has the cold too, so my nurses hat will be firmly on today and tomorrow
RosyR I'm glad the your DGD is Ok after her op.

I hope everyone has a good Sunday.
    Take care all. Hugs
    nan xx

Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Late to the table today, our usual Sunday breakfast, stripped the bed, linen in the washer. Small gammon joint from Aldi in the PKP, when it was cooked I put lentils tomato and tomato puree and a drop of water in the liquor, cooked it on soup, enough lentil soup for today, tomorrow and possibly Tuesday. Washing in the dryer, folded, ready for me to iron in the week.

Remade the bed, cleaned the bathroom and bedroom, OH pushed the dyson round, then I emptied the cylinder, it was chocked up with fluff. I only emptied it a few weeks ago, no idea where all the muck comes from.

OH went out to the bins, its very windy and the wind makes it feel cold.

Have just had lunch OH has gone for his siesta, I am going to read and drink the cuppa he made for me before he went.

Supper tonight, sliced gammon with parsley sauce, roast spuds, cabbage and carrots, lemon sponge and possibly cream for dessert......

  • Ooh Nelski I love cherry crumble. Do you have a recipe? Had a great start to the day, my OH dropped a glass from the cupboard and it smashed everywhere! They discovered I had a flat tyre, we couldn’t change it as the nuts were on too tight so had to call the AA. I must say they were very good, came out very quick and changed it in a jiffy. There was a nail in the old one so have to get that fixed.
Just had sausages potatoes and peas for dinner. Changed the bed clothes and did s bit of tidying up, now relaxing before work tomorrow. I don’t want to go back lol, it was lovely this week not having to set an alarm
Hope everyone has a good day

A late one from me too. That wind is absolutely bitter . DGC slept in late as there was a get together at friends of DS2 to meet a new baby, they didnt come back until after 9,DS1 picked them up as DH had had a glass of wine.
Just waiting for the spuds to crisp up to go with roast pork, veggies and apple sauce. RedRuby we got the same meal deal as you but the steak has gone in the freezer as I'd already got the pork out,but we're having the trifle.
Had a good afternoon with DS & grandkids,we took them to godsons ( the one in the band we follow) studio where they all practice. They have both been interested in music and drumming,so they had a go on the real thing and loved it.DGS has a little drum kit but seemed quite shocked at how loud the real ones were :rotfl:They were given a set of drumsticks to bring home so were made up.
TA,meant to say that your postcard does sound a bit of a puzzle - hope you get to the bottom of it.I have loads of pcs from about 1905 onwards until wartime when they didnt send too many, but they did help with learning about a great uncle & family who went to Australia.
Nanny- ice cream van! Brrr. Yes DGD is fine now thanks, she soon bounced back :)
Right better go ,DH is cutting the pork.
Hope Taff,Holly,Poppy and Mr Snoozer are doing ok xx

oh dear sounds like one of the days where staying in bed may well have been the better option :)

Cherry crumble was uber simple :) Jar of cherries (love them so keep them in when out of season) chuck in a dish with a spoon of sugar if you like it sweet. Then crumble on top. Mine is
    200 g plain flour.
    100 g butter.
175 g unrefined golden caster sugar.
    100 g oats.

Rub butter in and mix well throw on top and bobs your uncle :D
