Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones

I think I really, really need some Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones and wonder if anybody has any experience of them. They are expensive and I can't find a shop that stocks them so that I can try them out. They sound ideal for me to use for listening to a DVD or something on my laptop while OH is watching the TV. With my ordinary headphones I can still hear the TV over what I'm trying to listen to! I'm very particular about my sound / music!!!! Any help welcome. . . thanks!

I know they offer a 30 day money back guarantee on their cd players so you can try them so maybe they do the same with the headphones. I haven't tried them but have heard they are excellent.travelover0

Thanks for the info anneg. I think I might do that! Somehow I think that there will be little chance of sending them back if they really are as good as they claim!0

QVC sell them in the bose hour but dunno when next one is sorry, and yeah they are expensive but well worth it from what i've heard0

I want a pair of these Noise Cancelling headphones but at £270ish they are too pricey!
If I order and want to return them will Bose offer me a discount?
The reason I ask is there are Loads on eBay and there must be some angle on getting these cheaper...
I know Dell offer 10% off it you call and want to return their kit, Bose probably offer something similar?
Anyone actually sent a pair back?Seth.0 -
hi there - my other half bought a pair made by sennheiser specifically for ipod journeys on planes etc - i used them the other day and they are pretty good! sennheiser pxc250 i am no technical genius by any stretch but i was impressed . he however is a techno geek and wouldnt waste money on anything that was pants. plus price wise a bit cheaper than the bose...if that helps !

The Bose QC2 headphones are outstanding, the best £175 pound I ever spent, yeah £175 not the £279+ they are everywhere else. I bought them on a trip to New York last January 2005 from the Bose shop in a mall on something circus (roundabout bottom left of central park) I got a free cd player too. I used them on the trip home and I never go anywhere without them, Even walking in the town centre they are brilliant cutting out the traffic noise, the range is brillaint no artificial bass I heard parts of the music I had never heard with my old headphones. I cant praise them enough. IK have used them on flights without any source just noise cancelling sat infront behind and at the wings and they do what they say on the tin and the nose is almost non existant, you actually feel slightly cut off but you can still hear people who talk to you. with music on you only know your on a plane with the vibration of the plane.
A few Bose dealers in your area not sure if they have samples

 Maplin sell noise cancelling headphones for £30 & every few months have them at half price at £15. Bought a pair for my brother in law for christmas & he is well chuffed. I'm sure you would notice the difference in quality with the Bose, but for everyday use, taking on holiday, etc I know what I would go for. :j0

As a professional DJ I can highly recommend the Sennheiser headphones. A lot cheaper than BOSE ones. I have worked in clubs and venues where I have a band over my shoulder and I can still cue up music without a problem, in fact, I have to be careful when taking over from another DJ as the volume on the mixer has been turned way up high if they've been using lesser equipment.

just check out the reviews of them. mine have been thrown, bashed, crushed and had drinks spilled over them and they're still going strong after 3 years0
