What is the most reliable insurance company?

As above.
I am looking for gadget insurance.
I plan to insure multiple devices including two laptops and a phone. Some insurance companies are not so good with customer service. I need insurance I can trust. If my device breaks down, I would like a replacement device within a week.

Is your phone likely to break ?

In the last 10 years Ive not insured a phone and not had 1 break.

Why not just put the money you would use for the policy in a bank account.

So far I'm thinking of choosing either switched on insurance or loveit cover it after reading reviews on trustpilot.

Only 429 reviews and 15% state bad?

    and the other...

Only 384 reviews and 24% state bad?

Thats as far as your research got you? Did you check which other companies maybe linked to the ones you mentioned?
Reviews mentioned being registered in Gilbraltar for one and other company names (who also got terrible reviews) for the other.

Turns out that loveit coverit only covers the most popular devices and I can't seem to find my device on their list.
As a side note I would like to change the title to 'most reliable gadget insurance company' but I don't know how to do this.
    Any other suggestions?

I personally wouldn't bother to be honest and just do as a previous poster says - put the money you'd spend on the insurance in a savings account.

Then when the laptop breaks (laptops ALWAYS break eventually) you'll likely have a good few hundred pounds in savings to get it repaired or (better) put towards a new one.

These 'gadget' policies are riddled with vague exclusions and from what I've read, unless you have an absolutely watertight, cast-iron claim they nearly always refuse to pay out (or at least make the process as difficult and long-winded as possible).

Have you considered adding your gadgets as valuables to your home insurance. If you have accidental damage + cover away from home added to your home insurance this might work out cheaper for a lot of things.

A lot of Banks provided Gadget insurance and you might find you can add it to your bank account, with a monthly fee. It might work out good value for money if you've got a fair few gadgets.

The Barclays tech pack seems to provide a better deal than the other insurance policies that I looked at so I went for it. It's £12.50 per month to insure unlimited gadgets, cheaper than the £25 per month I saw on switchedon insurance for insuring my three gadgets.
MSE should compare bank gadget insurance on their gadget insurance page, there are some great deals out there.
I could have gotten home insurance however the contracts last for a year and I will only be staying in my property for another 6 months.

Also home insurance policies seem to be cheaper than the gadget insurance policies on the MSE page and cover a whole lot more.
