    Well, I meant RE: could you have just not moved? Or could said relative not have moved to you?


    But fair enough! Some things are more important than a job in this life.

    Aside from wishing you luck, I would potentially actually draw attention to this in your notice letter? Just maybe say something like "I am leaving on YYY date etc etc however I would consider staying at the company if my contract was changed to XYZ". Last roll of the dice really but when push comes to shove they MAY relent. But only consider trying that if you are happy leaving if they say no!
