Britannia Court Claim Received

Hmm...I have a page headed 'Admission (specified amount) which also has lots of boxes for personal details, income, expenses and so on which goes on to the other side of the page then another page headed 'Defence and Counterclaim' where I can write my defence and that carries on to the other side. I saw on another thread what the box with the password looks like and there's nothing like that here. It's most odd.
Aside from that we received a letter from BW Legal this morning headed 'NOTICE OF PENDING COUNTY COURT JUDGMENT' that basically says BW Legal have issued court proceedings against us and telling us that if a CCJ is awarded they will apply for an Attachment of Earnings but that we still have time to pay £237.24. So a threatening letter. Is that a new thing or normal for BW Legal?0 -
B W LEGAL ALWAYS SEND OUT THEIR OWN DQ WHICH I BELIEVE YOU RECEIVED so yes it is normal for GLADSTONES and B W LEGAL and others
WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IS THE PACK OF FORMS YOU RECEIVED FROM THE CCBC IN NORTHAMPTON
you are looking for the N1 claim form that arrived on thursday 24 January with a date of 22 January as detailed in your first post above with the POC DETAILS , DATE OF ISSUE , THE CHARGES BREAKDOWN and the reference in the IMPORTANT NOTE on the bottom right0 -
You should have a form that looks like this:
Your password is in the white box on the right headed Important Note.0 -
Also,
1) the page with the AoS is now with the court (I hope)
2) and I don't know whether there was a MCOL password on it.
3) I tried to go onto MCOL but I got the Government Gateway website...is that right?
1) , no its not right , because the place it was posted to is not a court, its a government office (Business Centre) manned by civil servants and is a completely different address to the Court in Northampton, they could just have easily made it an office located in Belfast or Swansea or Berwick On Tweed or Carlisle
NO COURT HAS BEEN ALLOCATED YET, because YOU have not informed them which is your local civil court because you are not at the DQ stage yet
2) I doubt it, as its on the N1 claim form that KeithP showed you above, which you had a month ago when you first posted about this AFTER you received the court claim pack on thursday 24 January 2019
3) YES0 -
Right. That must be on the page that got sent back without a copy being kept. I've actually got the second page that my son sent a photo of so he could be sure he was sending the right thing back but not the front page. I wonder if I contact the court tomorrow might they tell me what the password is? I'll have to give it a go.
Thanks for all your help folks0 -
Sorry, my mistake. I meant the Business Centre at St Katherine's House. I understand it's not at the court stage yet. Thank you for your help0

You'll probably need the Claim Number when talking to the CCBC.
Errr... the Claim Number is on the (missing) Claim Form.0 -
the one he sent back was the form N9 , not N1
Form N9: Ask for more time to file a defence ('acknowledgment of service')
Use this 'response pack' to tell the court you need 28 days (rather than 14) to prepare your defence, or if you wish to challenge the court’s jurisdiction.

I have N9A and N9B and side 2 of whatever the first, most important page is called....the one with the PoC and the password. I'll just call them at Northampton tomorrow and see whether they can help. They either will or won't so I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks guys0 -
One other thing. I've noticed on a lot of threads where there is a claim the poster says that it's addressed to the registered keeper. All the letters we have received from BW Legal and now the claim form have been addressed to my husband and not the registered keeper. We haven't responded to any letters or been asked who was in the car when we overstayed so I just wondered if there was any significance in that? That all correspondence has been addressed to a specific person, after all, anyone could have been in charge of the car at the time. Just curious.0
