Redemption letter from Target HCA?

Hoping you guys can help.

I am selling my apartment which i purchased using the Help-To-Buy scheme.

I went to the official myfirsthome.org.uk site and followed their guide. I completed the forms and sent them a BACs payment of £250 for their admin fee. And confirmed this via email, as per their guide. This was on 23/11/2018.

My sale is now finalising, with my buyer needing to complete this week (end of Feb). However my solicitor has just informed me that he hasn't received a redemption letter yet!

Does it usually take over two months? All i've had is a automated response saying thanks for my email. No receipt of payment; No confirmation; Nothing.

This won't delay the sale will it? Surely as long as they get their money back, they can't stop the process? Especially considering its taken them over two months.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Thanks

No, should not take 2 months.
    Yes, will delay the sale.

They (HCA) won't stop the sale, but the buyer won't Complete without a legal undertaking from your solicitor that the amount will be paid off. Your solicitor cannot give such an undertaking without knowing how much.
