Yes, do as the NEWBIES thread says. No need for threads to check, if everyone did this we'd drown.

We always beat APCOA - you could write anything that doesn't say who was driving and you'd win.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Precisely. Follow the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1.

Get a POPLA Code, put together a decent POPLA appeal and APCOA are likely to fold. But you have to jump through the hoops - no shortcut unless you can get a hospital cancellation. But I have a friend who is a hospital consultant who is in despair about the general public snatching staff car parking spaces, preventing him and other critical hospital staff parking. He is (privately) convinced that patients have died as a consequence!

But please be aware for the future, it is no longer a case of dumping your car (whatever the circumstances) wherever you decide, but follow the instructions of the parking company (no matter how much you - or we - dislike) as this is the way things are going.

Comply with the signage and you steer clear of swingeing penalties (although not always, but it's then that we are at our best!). At best you might just save a life!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
