Refused dla!!!!!

Hi has anyone else been refused dla my son is 8 1/2 has been diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy and incontinence...I got refused dla so asked for a mandatory reconsideration which today has also been refused.. it's so disheartening....he needs more help than a another child his age his muscles are affected in both legs which causes him pain to walk can't walk far gets tired and out of breath can't go up and down stairs on his own can't go outside on his own because he falls over all the time...he still has to wear nappies as he can't control his bladder he wakes up every night with cramps and he has wet the bed through his pull ups...have I got any chance of winning an appeal or am I best to reapply when I have more information the school is now doing him a care plan xx

Might as well so forward with the appeal. It sounds as if your son should qualify.

Proceed with the next step a Tribunal. Try to get someone to help prepare you for it.

You need to fill out the SSCS1 form and send the MR decision letter with it to HMCTS, you have 1 month from the date of the decision to request this. Information in this link.

Its all about what you put in the form, make sure its very detailed

Please get some help with filling out the tribunal form. Your local CAB or even your local MPs constituency office staff can arrange for some assistance.
