Puppy needs surgery but cant afford it what can I do

I would care for the dog regardless of the deformity. See if the PDSA can help. Its better than sending back to breeder who will probably cut their losses.
If you have the money by all means take to vets and have the operation, but:
I've had 3 dogs grow merrily into old age, 2 of them still sat with me at 12/13 years old and they've probably cost no more than a few hundred at the vets and I can count their visits between them on my own appendages. I'm sure the vet isn't happy with me for not bringing them in on a regular basis but then it is a profitable business after all.
The only dog I've ever had that died young was neglected at the vets who operated several days too late and killed her with anaesthetic. That cost over a thousand. Quite a bit more than the usual £200 to put them down.
EDIT: Didn't see your note about breeder insurance, hopefully he sticks by his words.0 -
Exercise and massage are safer than surgical intervention. Furthermore injuries or surgeries increase the risk of osteoarthritis in later life.
