Garage small claims

Hi All,
Im looking for some advise on taking a car garage to small claims court.
We enquired about the car in October 2018, we looked at the car, but it needed MOT, and four new tyres.
We paid the deposit and before having an MOT the engine management light came on and went into limp mode, garage plugged in the diagnostics machine and said it was the glow plugs, he changed these and the light didn’t come back.
We test drove and the car drove fine, we paid but on the way home the engine management light came on and went into limp mode. I called the garage he stated the glow plus may need to bed in, so call when it does it again. 1 month later there is an issue with the clutch – the garage asked for it to be booked in around 20 miles from my house (they did provide me with a car) and not the garage we purchased from, but the problem was sorted and he paid.
Just before Christmas our bulb went, I took to a local garage (and friend) who changed the bulb and stated there was soot in the bonnet and this wasn’t normal. He plugged in and said the EGR vavle was coming up and we should speak to the seller about getting it looked at. Following day the car went into limp mode three times (seemed to only go into limp mode above 70 and we haven’t done any long or high speed journeys really) we called the garage who said book in after christmas as we’ve told im about it he should fix (this was verbal)
Booked in (again 20 miles away) but they did give me another car – basically the inlet manifold was cracked and worn, garage refused to pay saying it was my fault ect – he offered to pay half, which we accepted first off but then if it went back into limp mode wouldn’t not give us a refund or look into the issues again.
Im about to take him to small claims – but im just a bit worried the court will side with him, ive spoken to CAB who said we have a good case under the consumer rights act of 2015.
Wondering if anyone has any advice or comments?

Give us some context: make, model, year, mileage, price paid? How many miles have you done since purchase?
What was the actual purchase date?No free lunch, and no free laptop
