Charity christmas cards - 51p per £

I've just bought some charity christmas cards from a new website that gives 51p in every £ spent to a charity of your choice. Given that a lot of charity cards don't produce that much for the charity I was pleased with this.

They have a lot of the big names charities as well as the local/smaller ones too.

I've waited to post the details until I had got the cards and I'm really pleased with them. Although they say they could take up to 10 days for delivery mine arrived within 3.

You also get a label to stick on the back of the card saying which charity you have supported. You can choose a different charity per pack of cards. The cheapest pack is £3.99 for 20 cards. Hope this helps someone.

I've seen them around too, and they're not bad. I suspect that most charities' own cards make even more for the charity though.

That is a good rate for the charity. It has been highlighted that some charities get much less. I don't buy cards at all now. I make an email card, usually of the family goofed up. Then I write my christmas message and let them know which is my charity for that year with a link to the charities web page. Then I donate £10 to that charity. That way they get all the dosh and I don't buy lots of card that will only be thrown away just after christmas.

They are probably the best if you can't buy direct from your favourite charity eg. if they don't have local charity shops you can visit.

If you can't buy direct, many charities have cards available on their websites too.

Or why not buy from http://www.christmas-cards.org.uk/ who just send your order direct to the charity concerned so no middle men to pay at all! All money goes direct to the charity - they get 100% of what you spend. Theres a huge range of charities on the list.

If you buy charity cards from your local library or town hall you will find even more goes to charity - 81p in the £1 minimum. I only every buy my charity cards from places like this. Ask at your local library or similat to see if there is anywhere near to you that is selling these. They are usually run by volunteers and a vast majority of charities are covered.

The ones that are sold in town halls, libraries, churches are usually the ones by the http://www.cardsforcharity.co.uk lot, posted a few posts above they have all the locations on the website.
