&More Card - standing order?

Hi,

I'm still awaiting some of the literature for my M&S &More card and I would like to set up a standing order (not direct debit) to automatically make a payment each month. Can anyone who has the card give me the bank details for M&S so I can set one up?

Thx,
Bern

You won't be able to set one up until you get the card, you'll need the card number to set up a s/o. You usually have to enter a sort code and a holding account number or all 0's as well as your card number to ensure that payments can be routed to your account.

I have the card - but I don't have my first statement yet so I thought I'd pre-empt any late payments by setting up an S/O now - I just don't know what the M&S account number and sort code is. I assume my card number will be my reference number.

I'm sure i set up for a D/D when i applied for the card. It is showing on my bank D/D's. I have not had my first statement yet but am getting worried now in case i miss my first payment. How long should I wait for my first statement? I got the card on 21st May and maxed on it straight away.

Has anyone yet been able to make their repayments by Standing Order.
According to the Credit Card Agreement which came todaty, it says
"Payments must be made by Direct Debit or cheque unless otherwise agreed by us."

I'd prefer to pay by Standing Order. Has anyone found it a problem?
