The winners of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Best Group present The Ballad of Johnny Longstaff, a new and original piece of folk theatre – the story of one man’s adventure from begging on the streets in the North of England to fighting fascism in the Spanish Civil War. The Young’Uns bring their trademark harmony, honesty and humour to 16 specially composed songs, spoken word, striking imagery, and real-life recordings of Johnny himself to tell a remarkable human story filled with modern significance.
We have two pairs of tickets, one pair for the Middlesbrough Town Hall performance on Friday 8th February and one pair for the Sheffield City Hall performance Sunday 3rd February, to give away.
