Hi, I have a Sharp 20" LCD TV that I bought just over 3 years ago. It has stuck on standby. I never use this function, but the last time I switched it on it went to standby and has stayed there. I have tried unplugging it and switching it on again. Is there anything else that I can try or is it worth trying to get it repaired?

How long did you leave it unplugged for? Maybe worth trying again but leaving unplugged for an hour. Other than that, sounds like maybe your only option is getting someone to have a look at it. Do you know how long the manufacturer's warranty was? At just over three years it's a bit hit and miss whether it's worth getting your retailer to repair it for you free of charge."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Only left it unplugged for a few minutes. I will leave it an hour or so. I haven't been able to find any paperwork for it, but I doubt that it had more than 3 years warranty anyway. Certainly didn't pay for any extended warranty.0

From what I can find so far an LCD TV should reasonably be expected to last a lot longer than that so you should be able to still get it repaired (or replaced) by your retailer."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
