  • I don't know how you can expect your maisonette to be warm when you only heat it for 2 hours in the evening. The rooms will be quite cold with no heat in the property since breakfast.

Exactly! That is why I have my heating on all day and use between 50 - 80 kWh of gas a day, depending on the outside temperature.

That would be around 1700 KWh, .

The last two Actuals readings are:
    30th November 2018: 1740 units
    until 23rd January 2019: 2060 units.
How do you reach a figure of 1,700kWh?

On a metric meter a gas unit/m3 is approx 11.2 kWh; so 320 gas units(m3) is approx 3,360kWh - so approx 62 kWh a day for 30 Nov to 23 Jan.

62 kWh costs approx £2 - so that is not bad for mid winter

Blimey, I wish our boiler was as super-efficient as yours (and/or our house was as well thermally insulated); 22degC - luxory!

I subscribe to the theory that once you've got somewhere warm it's easy and cost-effective to keep it that way.
