Drp demand letter

Hi guys
I know there has been lot of threads about DRP. My situation is little bit different and I have not being able to find any solution from the previous threads.
I am a member of a gym and there is clear signage stating that parking is allowed only for 3 hours. The car park is run by gemini parking solutions London Ltd.
This week 23rd january 2019, I received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd demanding £160 for unpaid parking charge notice issued on 21st October 2018.. The letter said that a parking charge notice has gone to my old address. ( Unfortunately I have not changed my vehicle address with DVLA and the car was still registered at the old address. I own this property but it is rented out now. My gym has my up to date details.I have rectified this now. )
This letter I received from DRP was the first time I have heard of the penalty charge notice. When I went to speak to staff at the gym about the letter they informed me that the free parking is only available for three hours and that they are not able to help.
The DRP letter does not give any information about the reason for the charge apart from stating "failure to pay for duration of stay".
I am not sure how to proceed. I am outside the appeal period even though this is the first time I have heard of this notice. ( I understand this is partly my fault for not updating the address with DVLA. )
Should I pay the £160?
Can I still appeal?
If I can appeal, should i appeal to the gemini car park solution or DRP?

What's different about your case? Standard DRP dross.
You could try a template appeal to Gemini from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to show you've engaged in their process, but don't expect anything positive (like a cancellation) to come from it.
Seems pretty clear to me. What were you anticipating? The DRP letter does not give any information about the reason for the charge apart from stating "failure to pay for duration of stay".
Find us any more than a tiny handful of cases where we have recommended payment in the first 500 pages of threads (20 threads per page)!Should I pay the £160?
After you've fired off your initial appeal, you ignore anything afterwards other than a Letter Before Claim, or real court papers - come back on this thread if you get either. Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 about the debt collector stage (which is where you are at currently).
Gemini have 6 years to pursue you through the court, and you may get a very defendable claim in due course. We can help. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Do the above, the template is there to be used (no pasting it here please!).
Also state in the appeal to Gemini that your address for service is:
(your new address)
and tell them to inform their Data Protection Officer to erase your old address data. Attach proof of your address. A utility bill will do. You must show ID for a SAR.
Ask also under a SAR, for all data held, including all photos and all letters sent to the old address by Gemini themselves (not DRP, no-one cares about them!) as the letters and PCN were not received.
No paying this drivel!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
