Edf

I have moved home and before I moved I contacted edf advised them of date as asked for current balance on my account.
I was told I was in credit at that time. Two weeks later I was then told I owed over £100.
Despite having smart meters, which are meant to give live usage they still say they misinformed me of the balance when. I was told it was in credit.
They are no chasing for a payment when I was told I was due a refund.
I have left the country but still wish to sort this out.
What are my options?

The credit /debit figure shown online is generally the sum of the credit/debit as on your last bill plus the DD's received since - it does not include the cost of the energy used and for some suppliers this could well be three months or even six.

Edf will only produce an actual bill AFTER you have moved out and given them your readings when you move out (or cease to become responsible). Ringing them before doesn't help.

Others may correct me but I don't think CS can access you Smart reading when you speak to them.
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

    Excellent post above so...

    Just the one option...

    Pay up....

    Then you can move on.....
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • They were given meter readings regularly via the absolutely useless app.
What is the point in smart meters if they don't give you love current usage and billing information.
Is that not the whole point.
To make matters worse, they caused a gas leak when installing the so called smart meters.
  • Forgot to add they also gave me two final bills of different values after they advised I was due a refund on a webchat (which was after I gave meter readings)

None of which is relevant, The only relevant point is whether you have been correctly billed based on an accurate final reading.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
