Wide fitting football shoes for a preschooler

Options
Does anyone know where I can get a wide fitting football shoe?

My son goes to Little Kickers each week and all the children have football shoes. I went to Clarks and had him fitted for some and the widest they go to are a G which is what his shoes are, although he does come up in measuring as a G/H.

The problem is the design of football shoes seems to involve elastic over the widest part of the foot and it is too tight for the foot to go in. He wore them for a few weeks and now says they are too tight, despite the shoe size being exactly the right one for him. It is the getting them on which causes all the problems and then he says they hurt.

I am loath to keep spending out only to get a few weeks wear each time. Does anyone know anywhere else that does a wide fitting.

My son is a size 9 G/H

I have tried Brantano and Clarks.

Thanks

  • I rekon if you want width fitted stud boots and clarks can't fit you, it is likely you are really going to find it tricky!

Can he not go in just (correctly fitting) trainers- startrite do width fittings and are probably wider than clarks. My nephew is 6 and does fotty training in trainers that look like football boots but are really just side laced trainers (from clarks)

Actually, and this just an opinion- surely a preschooler in stud footy boots would be scarily dangerous??

I have a 3 year old son with size 10 G/H feet, we went to sports and soccor and got him some indoor footie boots made by nike, had to get them in a eleven but fit him fine and he loves them, he goes to socatots.
  • Hi, thanks all, yes they are the non studied variety

Will look in Startrite and then the football shop mentioned.
