I usually make a point of quoting their opening post - puts a stop to that :)
  • Well said.... there has been a good few in the few short time I have been here.

Though I’m prolly more characterised by moglex’s description.

Though, I would add. Anyone that is either blatantly lieing, contradicting a previous thread they may have raised (I check most times) or just from the ‘something for nothing’ brigade deserve some of the thick end of the replies I have seen.

The troll word seems to be getting chucked around more recently of late. And there are the repeat offenders who regularly reappear in new guises.

What does seem unnecessary though are the new posters who shout troll and demand people leave their thread as soon as someone disagrees with them, and the longer standing members some of whom assume that every new poster must be a troll. Both as bad as each other, but some answers are blunt to the point of rudeness and I can understand why some newbies get cross.

Certainly more trolls that there used to be, or maybe the same number of trolls but with more accounts each?

Funny the way some treat them though, when a troll slips up and everyone knows its the same troll you still get those that still try and continue to answer the fake question. Whats the point when you know the troll has made it all up?

Several threads where the troll accidently replied to a message with another username.

The internet used to be a nicer place.

There is a thread over there which has gone super-nuclear
The new OP has gone ballistic with the responses they don't like and is hurling abuse at virtually everyone

    OMG!

What a car crash of a thread.

I'm surprised that the thread has survived after the board guide stepped in a couple of days ago as the OP's posts have become increasingly abusive since then.
