I had a barclays one for a bit. Cant remember if it was on my credit file but when i went into the branch to upgrade it after a few months they told me the history and management of it didnt count in their internal scoring systems0

My previous Santander Basic account was recorded on my credit file, alongside the top up debit card as a separate account (ie. 2 entries on my credit file). Having no access to an overdraft however meant that they were simply reported as a £0 balance that was always paid in full0

I have two Natwest Current Accounts, one basic (foundation) and one standard (select).
On my credit file, one is listed as a BASIC CURRENT ACCOUNT and the other is listed as CURRENT ACCOUNT.
My Nationwide Flexbasic is also listed as a BASIC CURRENT ACCOUNT.
I have now closed both that are listed as such!
UsetheFORCEI have numerous qualifications in Business and Finance, Accountancy, Health and Safety and am now studying Law.
Don't rely on anything I write as it may be wrong!!!0 -
On the credit club (experian) report they have split the accounts up now, one headed current accounts and another headed basic accounts
I don't know if this would be shown on a search, could this be detrimental to an application if the only account you had was a basic account ?
It doesn't affect me personally but iv'e only recently noticed the change.0 -
Well both my basic BOS account and Monzo account DO NOT appear on my credit file. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

They are all free. Clearscore is Equifax. If you want Experian you go via MSE Credit Club. And for TransUnion you go to NoddleI work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -

Alarmingly I can also see TSB and Santander bank accounts I have no knowledge of having!?! They both say £0 and are in good standing. I must have opened them over a decade ago. Shall I leave them be?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
