Travel Insurance & Pre Exisiting Condition Problem

We have had travel insurance with Liverpool Victoria for a number of years and pre existing conditions have been covered but this year I have needed to add a gall stone and they are now declining all pre existing condition on renewal. One of my conditions is high blood pressure which is controlled by medication. I have asked what high blood pressure would mean was excluded - heart attack? stroke? etc but they say that they are not medically trained & cannot help.
Am I looking for a new policy or is there guidance somewhere?

Try the Post office , they insured my daughter last year with a lot of pre existing conditions, she had an accident and they got her home safely .
I have just got a quote for her and I to go on a short European trip later this year and it’s a great price .This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I dare not take the risk. I have cancelled the automatic renewal and I am going to find someone who will cover me.
PS The Post Office were very expensive - more than double the price of the best quote for my conditions.0 -
Have you tried Insure & Go? I have been with them for several years. I have just got a quote now together with one from LV. I quite like Insure & Go's questions because they are clear. You would have to declare the high blood pressure and the gall bladder if you have had treatment this year but their prices are reasonable. We have had travel insurance with Liverpool Victoria for a number of years and pre existing conditions have been covered but this year I have needed to add a gall stone and they are now declining all pre existing condition on renewal.
