  • Dance fees paid for Jan/Feb.

Just applied for BT card for DH and he was accepted :j so that means we now have a further 27 months interest free to get the £3,000 paid off on that one. They gave him a credit limit of £7,400:eek: as soon as that card arrives it will be going straight to my dad!
  • Not a NSD today. DD2 had cross country so that was 2.00 out of change jar.
I then had to pop into Sains on way back as was asked to pick fruit and juice up for work tomorrow. That was 6.60 but will get this back from petty cash.
As it was getting late decided to pick some mince, packet mash and giant Yorkshire puddings up for tea as well as another loaf. Also picked up an outfit for DD2 as she lives in athletic clothes but is going to a friends birthday meal n Friday and then a kids rave next month. Was a bargain as t was half price so only paid 7.50. Had to get her age 9 even though she is 11 lol.
Altogether this was 17.20 but had nectar points so used 15.00 of them and spent 2.20.
Plus brought a new shower curtain as ours was well passed its best. 5.00 from Argos. DD wanted one with hearts on for 10.00.

Also checked balance of CC1 today and this is now 0 so :j
CC3 is also 50.00 lower than I first thought so an added bonus.
DH had a text from new CC saying that balance transfer is going through and they will text when it is all done.
DH suggested using his CC to pay my Very bill. Can we do this? IF so how? Would we get charged?
  • Wanted a NSD today but DD1 text from school asking me to put money on her parentpay account as she dropped her lunch on the way in. When I checked her account it was £10 overdrawn! Put £10 on the account and told her to just get a sandwich and no treats.
We stopped letting her have school meals as she was spending a fortune on breakfast, lunch and snacks!

Took the fruit and juice into work and got th £6.60 back. Will put that money in my change jar for cross country.
Lady came into the office and asked if anyone wanted to buy a sandwich etc, I was soooooo tempted but resisted :T

Talking to DH last night about our finances and my plan to get the debts paid off ASAP and he said "you are really going for this aren't you" and then said he was with me so I'm taking that as a win.
  • Another spend for today.
The poor rabbit had wet sawdust in her hutch, hubby went to change and we had none. Popped to the shop to pick some up for her. Only took 5.00 with us and spent 3.49 of it :T In the past we would have taken our debit card with us and popped into Costa or Marksies and got a few bits.
We did look at a new hutch for her as the one we have is falling to bits. They have one for 59.00 which s plenty big enough for just one rabbit especially as we do let her run around the garden. We did have 2 rabbits who where sisters but one died in the summer.
  • DH new CC just arrived so have registered the account and set up DD for min payment for now until we clear the catalogue.
I have posted on CC board asking if we pay the catalogue using the CC would we be charged. If the answer is no then we will prob do that as then we will just have the 2 debts on CC on 0%.

I know financially it would probably make more sense to make over payments to our loan as APR is 15.9% but don't want to be in a position in a couple of years time where we haven't made a dent in CC balance and then 0% runs out and we can't get another balance transfer.
  • Didn't have a NSD yesterday and won't have one today:(
DD2 needs shoes for the outfit that I picked up for her on Wednesday. She was still saying she thinks Doc Ms would go with it, they where nice sparkly black boots but not for £115 :rotfl:
Showed her a pair of ballerina shoes from MrA for £8 and she said she would have them.
Popped up there to get them and some bread and pizza for the kids but lo and behold no shoes and more than bread and pizza went into my basket:eek: Got hubby some beer and me a bottle of juice as well as a birthday card for the friends meal DD2 is going to today (which was needed).

Today's spends will be £10 to go into the above card and it's looking like DD2 will have to go to the meal in athletics clothes or shorts and t-shirt if I can't manage to get her some shoes today. Hopefully I will have time to pop into a shop between my visits. Think I go past a MrA so will try for those ballerina pumps again.

Upon checking bill account it is almost empty and I am close to my overdraft. I'm keeping a very close eye on it and I know I will have to transfer some of the shopping money back over which is fine as I used bill money to pay for dance lessons which comes out of the shopping money account normally.
I want to get rid of the overdraft asap. It's not looking likely to be this month but should be next month.
  • Well not been doing that well on the savings front but I will get there.

Just a quick question we have a loan where the APR is 15.9% I know that we aren’t in a position at the minute to try and get a different loan or 0% money transfer card but hopefully we will have catalogue and credit cards paid off around the end of the year.
Would it then be worth trying for a new loan or money transfer card as the loan will still have over 3 years left to run? If so which would be the better option?
  • Payday for DH today so just been on and paid 113.50 off catalogue bringing that down to 715.48 :)

Need to go to my dads and give him back the 2 credit cards but ask him for 2 of the other ones. Will take iPad with me though as I only want to acces my online accounts. Can’t remember log in details so need card info to sort it out.

Girls came home from dance with letters re exams. Will have to sort that this week. That comes out of budget.
I also need to go get them some dance tights as the ones they have are laddered.

Trying to do better with fuel as well. Most of the mileage can’t be helped as its work related but I’ve told DDs no more lifts to and from school. DH walks DD2 to and from dance. DD1 takes herself.

DH came home with a voucher for 20% of M&S which would have come in handy if it was last month as had to get both girls measured for bras and spent over 80.00
  • Back again.

DH checked how balance on one of the CCs that we did a balance transfer from last month. It had an outstanding balance of 100.00 after BT was done. Minimum payment came out of last months wage and left a balance of 31.27 so that has now been paid off :j

We are getting there slowly but I know we will clear them.
