Someone suggested doing a SOA, do this and if you feel OK post up here for advice.
If you do that with proper budgets then things like the cross country can be budgeted for (entertainment /other child related expenses for example) then that gives you back control of your no spend daysNo.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610
Annual target £240000 -
Whoop just found £5 in my pocket which will pay for DD2 cross country tonight and some ham/chicken for wraps for school tomorrow. If I let them have hot dinners my oldest can easily spend £10 in 2-3 days, so I try and make sure they have stuff in for packed lunch.0

Will try and post an SOA. I know our mobiles are expensive-just over 100 a month for 4Keep saying that I will go SIM only but never quite do it. Sadly we are all in contract for the next year. DD1 is 2 years.

Well as I knew today wouldn't be a NSD so im pretty pleased with myself.
Put fuel in the car as have visits to do first thing (work on community) so knew I wouldn't have had time to go before hand. I normally fill the tank but didn't have much money.
Spends today:
Diesel 20.09 (DH got side tracked hence the 9p :rotfl:)
3.80 in the coop on bread, sausage rolls and cake bars for DDs packed lunch for tomorrow. They would normally have had ham/chicken wraps but the sausage rolls where cheaper. DD2 is in a mood as she wanted to look in the food to go section to see if they had a pasta pot. Told her that we are cutting back and if she wants stuff like that then her dance, singing lessons and cross country all stop.
DH asked if we were on a healthy eating plan as I said we weren't having chocolate. Reminded him that we are cutting back on our spends. I swear he doesn't listen sometimes.
I now have DD1 lying on the floor also with a mood on. I think something must have happened at dance to upset her, or it could be cos I have taken her phone off her for getting yet another detention!
Tea tonight is left over corned beef hash for me and DH and fries, southern fried chicken/fish fingers for DDs.
Pay day for DH tomorrow :T Why does January drag?0 -
Well DH got paid and bills have started coming out.
Went into town today and put 2 cheques in the bank. 1 was a gift from my dad of 500.00 and the other was refund on road tax after we changed our car. It was only 8.68 but better than nothing. Lady told me the cheques will clear midnight Monday so Tuesday I will be clearing CC1 :T:T
Not a NSD day though as we went out for a meal and spent 74.00 for the 4 of us:eek: It was nice though as its not often our 14 year old comes out with us.
Won't be happening again for quite a while though. Want to concentrate on getting these debts sorted plus I also need to go back to Slimming World. I'm currently about 7st overweightI know it will add more to our monthly outgoings but will stop us bing tempted to buy take away, sweets etc.
Work tomorrow but so far no visits. Hopefully will be able to go food shopping. DD1 needs things for cookery lesson on Monday, she is making cottage pie yum.0 -
Afternoon.
Just bit the bullet and paid CC1 off in full :j even though the cheque I banked yesterday won't clear until midnight tomorrow night. Cheque is off my dad so I know that there is no danger of it bouncing.
After February's payments have come out I will change DDs so we are still paying the 300 a month off 2 CCs.
Need to get ready to go shopping. Not done a list but just need to get cookery stuff for DD1 and packed lunch stuff for both girls. We have freezer food in so will start using that up as well as the million bags of pasta we have in cupboard. Once I am back in SW I will be meal planning using SW friendly recipes.
Need to also find out if the indoor car boot sale is still on and what the details are. Whatever we make from that will go straight off debts.
Was contemplating Eb@y but have been stung a few times with buyers saying they haven't received items or the items where damaged.
Hope everyone is having a lovey weekend x0 -
Back again.
Feeling very MSE at the minute :j:rotfl:
Remembered we had some US$s left from our very first (amazing) ever holiday abroad last August. Dug it out and we had 172$. Decided to take this to MrS when we went shopping and changed it back. Got £116 something back. Used this for shopping 52.69 and fuel 60.00. Have put the rest into the change jar we have. This will pay for DD2 cross country next week.
Off to pay extra onto my catalogue debt now0 -

Pay day for me today. Bank balance looks a little low but will sort itself out once cheque clears tonight. Child benefit goes in tomorrow and 205 in expenses on 31st.
Need to pay dance fees for DDs tonight for Jan/Feb plus tickets for dance comp. Won't get much change from 250.00 but it is all budgeted for.
Looking at a balance transfer card for DHs card (CC2) as his 0% is due to expire 15/3. Looking at eligibility calculator he has a 95% chance of being accepted so keeping everything crossed that he can get one, ideally with a limit of 3500.00.
DD2 came home from school with a residential trip letter for July. Looking to cost around 150.00 if she gets a place. We have signed the form for her as she has really done well settling into senior school, has 100% attendance, never late and her parents evening and report where amazing.0
