Hello
I am with People's Energy.
I'm trying to do a price comparison using Cheap Energy Club but my tariff isn't showing.
It only shows the two currently available and not the older ones.
Can someone fix this?
I'm on The Peoples Tariff August 2018
Ta.

  • You need to go to the CEC and follow the link on every page to their Help/FAQ page. At the end of that page is the email address.

Or use another price comparison site such as https://energycompare.citizensadvice.org.uk/ or the cash back version at https://www.energylinx.co.uk/energy/cashback/ as the CAB uses energylinx for the information.

Are you sure? There's only one People's Tariff which is variable, so you need to select the latest version - The People's Tariff Q1 2019.

The only way you could still be on the older tariff is if you've recently joined them and they've given notice of the price increase in line with the above tariff but not yet applied it. In this case I suggest using Compare the Market who still list the old tariff.

    Thanks both.
Yes, the 2018 tariff is the one named on my bill.
I'll do as suggested and use a different site.
I thought CEC was the most reliable.
  • Most reliable is the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Indeed other sites can hide tariffs as long as they put up a link to the CAB site so you can find them yourself.

    Thanks all.
I've compared and I'm on the best for me apparently.
