any advice please

Hi - newby here. I have an RBS Credit card with a limit of £13500 and a balance of £11500. I want to do a balance transfer of around £8-9K and have been given an indicative 10 / 10 chance of being approved for a 29 month interest free Virgin CC. Does anyone know if this amount will be automatically approved? I don't want to formally apply and only get say a £3k limit.... any advice gratefully accepted....

Not necessarily. The only way to be sure is to actually apply, I'm afraid.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

Unfortunately there isn't a tool that will give you an estimate of your likely acceptance for a card as well as the approximate limit - you will need to make a full application and see what limit you are offered. Even if you get a smaller limit, you should BT as much as you can as even having only some of the limit at 0% is better than having none of it at 0%

I recently applied and got Virgin Money 0% card and on the application it asked what limit would I like.
  • Virgin are quite generous with limits.

However it does depend on how they asses you.
