Santander Chargeback

I'm having an issue with a Santander chargeback and would like some advice.

I was having a problem with a non receipt of goods from amazon, I had been trying to resolve it with them for three months having provided numerous police reports, affidavits and they then flat out refused to help.

I decided to instigate a chargeback with Santander on 26/12/18 - the final 120 days would have been 2/01/19.

I was told it would be fine as it was 120 days when the chargeback is started. However after sending all the information in they've told me they cant do anything as its over the 120 days.

I believe they are wrong here and can continue to help, having read that a chargeback can be done upto 540 days.

If I could have some advice here i'd appreciate it.

Raise a formal complaint and escalate to the FOS if necessary.

But it sounds like Amazon will dispute the chargeback so you may not achieve very much.

Amazon are usually good with non receipt of goods, is the non receipt in dispute? Do they have proof of delivery?

heration, what was the date of your purchase?
  • Date of purchase was 4th of september and delivery was scheduled for 10th

Their was no proof of delivery (no signature etc). In the same order was two books which they refunded for non receipt of goods, they just wouldn't refund the bigger amount.
